Troubleshooting: Charges on the Starter Plan
This guide helps resolve issues related to unexpected charges on the Starter plan.
Description
This guide helps resolve issues related to unexpected charges on the Starter plan.
Problem
The Starter plan is marketed as "free," but users may experience charges under certain circumstances. Confusion can arise when charges are applied even though the Starter plan is supposed to be free.
Solution
Steps to Resolve:
- Understand the Starter Plan's Billing Structure:
While the Starter plan is labeled as free, it operates on a pay-as-you-go basis. This means certain usage beyond the base offering may lead to additional charges.
- Check for Minimum Charge Threshold:
Charges may not appear until your usage reaches a certain threshold. For example, some charges might not be visible until the accumulated amount exceeds $0.50. If you don’t meet this threshold, the system will delay applying the charges until your total reaches the minimum.
- Review Previous Invoices:
Invoices related to your account may be linked to prior subscriptions, and any small charges might accumulate over time. The system could apply any outstanding "balance" from previous invoices to your current invoice, alongside any new charges incurred.
- Contact Support for Detailed Breakdown:
If you’re still unclear about why charges were applied, reach out to support for a detailed breakdown. A representative can explain why charges were applied, what "Applied balance" refers to, and how the final amount was calculated.
Additional Tips
